TOPIC: blood stains before you bleed

by Kyle Anne Kish

remember
it is you
who stepped
into
my
world
while
i wasn’t looking.

the heat
of a summer’s
night
kisses my lips
as you talk
the talk
of the cowardly
lion ... fasting
off my energy.

don’t jostle
my pain.

let’s just synchronize
our watches
and systematically
walk out the door
separately.

let me clarify...i took the line cream in coffee from one of yours and wrote about not talking to make the pain of separation any easier...whew, this tag thing can get complicated.
