Ocular

by Steven Craig

I have spent most of my life in deep study.
I study people.
I study thought.
I study actions and reactions.
I study those that study and understand why they chose to do that.
I study myself at the end of each day,
In quiet reflection of all the joys
And the horrors than may have for a moment
Passed my way.

There are moments
When I can feel the thoughts of another.
There are even moments
When I can feel my own.
What I feel,
Makes me who I am.
It strengthens me every day,
To have the power
The time to share
And do what many may think impossible.
I walk fast
Silently
In the way I was brought up,
I see all that I am to know.

When you travel down
The downs
On a sunlit afternoon
And the winds shake your car,
It may just be your mind
Brushing against what awaits you.

Or it might just be me.

Very cool, other worldly, connected.

I love that first stanza. Probably, because I'm kind of the same way. I really liked this.
