Fell Back Awake

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

i woke up this morning
and fell back awake
drifting into a dream
of life
where rose petals
fell to bloom
on tabletops of morgue
humble births took place
in canals of dirt
first screams of silence
pummeled the earth
all walked backwards
lives flashed forward
in the end
we all know now
what we knew then
every mystery was solved
until I awoke back asleep again

Clever and engaging - fast paced and intense. I like.

This is clever in a good and major fashion! Just excellent, Maria. Thanks.
