Cotton Candy Sky

by Jacki M Butler

The sky is glowing
At the oceanic horizon
Starting off a soft blue
Fading into a cotton candy pink
Then almost white before becoming
A brilliant blue high about me
Streaked with small puffs of clouds
And early signs of stars
And in moments it has all gone away

Good to see you back (or have I just been negligent?) You draw a vivid and colorful picture of the sky above the ocean. (I lived along the Atlantic Ocean for three months this past winter.)
