Scratches

by A. Paige White

God isn't hindered by the scratches of my play.
Every day His movie plays:

Some are watching, oiled by His miracle love
So they're not stopped
at life's scratches
Maybe a short pause of static
But with a little prayer
Or even a small bump by His hand
with His smile of favor
play resumes.

Some are watching for the scratches
Missing all the good action
looking for a flaw
looking for reasons to withdraw
-more scratches-
There will always be flaws
in this life
in everyone's play

God isn't hindered by the scratches of my writing.
He knows sometimes my words burn
Sometimes they itch.
