The Little Girl Behind the Tree

by Ann Mills

Once I saw a little girl
Hide behind a tree.
I looked at her and smiled
and she smiled back at me!

She laughed and hid and laughed some more;
She had the greatest time.
When I looked again, she wasn't there,
But her smile laughs in my mind.

Hi Ann, This is lovely, sweet. The little girl is surely fast. That's great her smile and laughs are still with you. She made you smile. :)

Hello Beautiful. Congratulations for joining and being accepted into this great website. I just happen to know that you wrote this poem when you were TEN YEARS OLD! Amazing. I look forward to many more of your poems on this website. I am sorry I didn't get to "vote" on your application. I would have liked reading it I am sure. As I have told you, I look forward to discovering Ann, in her darkness and he light. Thank you for trusting us with your poetry.

I liked the meter and the end to a poem that makes me think of someone having a flashback! lol
