Let The Past Go

by Jeffrey Parren

When nothing is ever easy
my soul becomes weaker
knowing that living in the past
is not letting the present
hit me in the face
nor having the future
be something to live for
so as each trial comes along
I face it headstrong
with confidence and honesty
unfettered but frustrated
because all I want to find
is happiness and the meaning
of where I am to end up
of who I am going to be.

That's what Ive been trying to do. But sometimes it's brought back up again. One can forgive alot easier, than forgetting.

it takes the past to forge us strong enough to face the future. good luck to you, dear man.

It's all relative in my experience. But you've stated a long fought struggle that many of us face, and stated it very eloquently.
