Same Old Story

by Bek Williams

I sit in the back
Watching your face
I could care less about the rest of this place

'Round the middle of the set
I catch your eye
And you smile, just like old times

But I have no clue
What I should do
Cos we haven't spoken in weeks
And, well, I got your card
You signed your name beside a heart
Now I gotta figure out what it means
I gotta figure out...

I'm driving back home
Music blares through the stereo
You call and say you're all alone

Mom and Dad skipped town
So right now you've got the house
Or for one week anyway

But I have no clue
What I should do
Cos we haven't spoken in weeks
And, well, I got your card
You signed your name beside a heart
Now I gotta figure out what it means
I gotta figure out what all this...

Now I walk to the door
Hands in pockets like I'm cool
Somewhere inside I know I'm not

I lift my hand to knock
But the movement won't come
And I turn around and run

But I have no clue
What I should do
Cos we haven't spoken in weeks
And, well, I got your card
You signed your name beside a heart
Now I gotta figure out what it means
Yeah, I gotta figure out what all this means
I gotta figure out that...

It's the same old story after all
