"What Thought Through Yonder Window Escapes?"

by Max Phineas

Only in dreams of valiant drive do I strive to say what's on my mind.
Otherwise my eyes do hide behind the facade of social compromise
My thoughts collide in rhythmic stride, dance side by side, in tangled lies
Off conscience cliffs they dodge and dive, survive the fall, and fall behind.

These four lines say much about saying what we want when we want, how we relate to others. I really appreciate your dilemma here and the cliff is such a perfect venue for diving off and surviving in spite of ourselves.
