Directions?

by George Hoerner

oh, sure
go down the road a piece
take the right turn across the creek
and here is where it starts
getting more difficult

start going up the trail
but be careful!!
there are some sharp curves
as well as steep switchbacks
and the higher you go
the more difficult it becomes
but you should try anyway
good luck

he left without asking
which direction on the road
but it really doesn’t matter
one direction just takes
a little longer
i should have told him
about the wolves but
most of them are really sheep
in wolves clothing

but knowing when you get there
now that's-the biggest problem

i remember the fool that asked
how far a piece was

i told him the truth -
as far as it takes
to get there

This is so cool. Terrific! How has it taken me so long to find your library? (must've needed direction, heh ;)

directions are like points taken, once taken they take you where you want to go, but ultimately never where you wish to remain. it is as plain as the direction on my face that this poem sets you in all the right directions and for me this is a joy.
