upon listening, i saw

by Emily Tong

wherefore the blows of wind are now
translations in the windchimes and
how stately sits the halfhearted sky
that is supposed in want of blue

with fervorless the dew resides
heavy upon the air and flocks
of dandelions blow by blow
calm over the seas of grass

what angles of merit doth pentetrate
the softly spoken tree light paths
along a rim of shadow earth and
softly softly fading green
