i pray for a little sunshine by Jared Fladelandit's a long drawn day,
on this end of may,
the rain's been falling down,
soaking deep into the ground.
on this end of may,
soaking deep into the ground,
it's a long drawn day,
the rain's been falling down.
the rain's been falling down,
it's a long drawn day,
soaking deep into the ground
on this end of May.
the rain's been soaking down,
falling deep into the ground,
it's a long drawn end
on this day of may.
the rain's been long drawn down
on this soaking deep end of May
it's a falling into the ground day.
it's a long drawn day,
on this end of may,
the rain's been falling down,
soaking deep into the ground.

Posted by Gabriel Ricard on 05/25/07 at 10:38 PM I love the title. I honestly wish I'd thought of that first. And not surprisingly, the poem measures up just fine. |
Posted by Michelle Angelini on 05/26/07 at 03:07 AM Incredibly cool Jared. What's the name of this form? Wish LA could get some of the rain everyone else has been getting. It's so dry here, a puff of hot breathe will start a fire.

Good one. I'm like Michelle, what is the name of this form? I haven't seen it done quite this way.
Yeah, the weatherman says we're in a drought, in Tn. Didn't think I'ld being saying this for a good while, but he's right. We do need the rain.
