pushed

by Travis G Finborg

pressure builds
and i start to crumble
swallow the change

distorted reflection brings back
the stuggle on my face
the emotional plateau

a summit of my achievment
as far as i can get
and now the walls dissolve

the bridge crumbles under
as i travel
behind is gone

forward bleak and distorted
beneath me the fault lines
crack and fissure

issue the red fire
that eats at my foundations
built on a lack of morality

pushed, shoved, prodded
i tread forward
i am somwhere i dont want to be

So many of us push ourselves to the "norm" of where we "don't want to be." The description in this poem is brutally honest, Travis.
