Follow Me by Alisa Jsthere is no easy way to say this
crushing of the skull,
dimming of the eyes as the spirit seeks to roam
the view from deep within, clarity in the hush of night
look at that landscape, replete
it's all there
in black and shades of gray ...
follow me and I'll show you how
to find yourself, to know who it is
that sees the trees, beyond the rings that bind
standing here among the shells
of who we used to be ...
step outside tradition's lie
taught and threading through the ages,
smash the boxed conditioning
with pablum we been bought and sold
this bag of tricks, worthless
spread out before us, impotent
considering,
the greater scheme of things,
free your mind ... 04/28/2007 Posted on 04/28/2007 Copyright © 2024 Alisa Js
