Drivel by Alisa Jsis there really a peace to be found in all this chaos now churning?
somewhere deeper inside,
we keep looking farther within trying desperately to pretend we understand
only to run around and back again
fighting the reality that glares knowingly
with a smirk and a snarl,
truth can't be fooled no matter how slick the glitter
or gloss
of eloquent words ...
it is what it is
face it!
why roll over and die like the rest?
give up and falter at this weathered wind that bites hard
you are stronger than oak, wiser than owls
yet recoil like the mysterious python, checking to see if it still rattles
why?
it doesn't become you, never did
and it sure doesn't make sense to start now,
what is this whining I hear in the back of my brain?
trailing willow wisps lag behind, hopefully ...
perceptions and reasons and recycled good-byes
mean nothing when time is removed,
no clocks, no ticking, no tapping of hands
why slumber in daylight?
when hearts poured out before you shimmer like rain
and you stampede past pleas
mouths opened, dumbfounded
waves make haste,
liars cry harder
and the rest vanish
almost as soon as they came,
finding final flight on the next plane ... 04/26/2007 Posted on 04/26/2007 Copyright © 2024 Alisa Js
