Oh Sense of Spring

by Kyle Anne Kish

From dewy grass beneath my feet
To clouds in serene sky,
I can’t pronounce the world I greet
Where songbirds catch my eye.

Straight rows of corn in fields abloom
Thrive with springtime’s glistening rain
And bears’ release from sleeping tombs
Themselves, once more, regain.

Unblanketed by the sun,
Springtime emerges full
And nothing seems to comes undone
As I feel the gentle pull ...

Of new life in its crowing grace.
Now I glide along at a new found pace.
