grapes and bubblegum soda

by Shonda Creemer

She was sitting in my computer
chair going round & round.

"When I grow up...I want
to be a single woman like you.
Living by myself so my niece
can come over all the time
and spend the night" she said.

Then she put her hand over her
mouth and giggled.

We had a midnight snack
of grapes and bubblegum soda.

With her tummy full, she slept.

And I wondered if she really knows
how much I love her.

aww! This is so, so sweet! I'm sure that even if she doesn't know just yet, when she's a grown up, she will and will keep cherishing you; absolutely precious =)
