May I meet my mind? by Meagan GreenWhats going on?
Suddenly I'm gone
And then Im back again,
Sheltered cold in my den,
Pulling eggs from the hen.
Where I go I cant know
Until the bumbling, mumbling
People things speak clearly
And remind me Im not nearly
As lost as I thought.
If the two sides of mind
Could hold a meeting,
Id bring luck pot boiled eggs,
And lock the doors just in time
To remind them they are trapped
In this existential moment.
Where is the gun?
Suddenly Im hungry for sedation
And this meeting isnt fun,
Yes I hate this congregation
So Im forcing my own condemnation.
What I do I couldnt tell you
Unless we said nothing
Underneath the same moon blue,
And outside this hollow room
My passions are more likely to bloom.
If the two sides of mind
Must hold a meeting,
Then bring me no luck,
And let me die inside the lies
To give birth to a surprise.
Yes, my own interexternal alteration. 04/06/2007 Posted on 04/06/2007 Copyright © 2024 Meagan Green

Posted by Laura Doom on 04/07/07 at 07:14 PM A meeting of mind as a double-blind date. Balanced & structured form and well-designed irregular rhyming scheme. I fell easily into the role of voyeur of this intrapersonal relationship with even commentary and odd sidelines. |
