heavenly, virtuous, divine by Emily Davidsongraceful
at six foot six
with light eyes;
he smiles
and you can see the sun shine
through his pores
he is heavenly, virtuous, divine
i swear sometimes
when we lie in bed
and he puts his back to me,
i can see the wings
grow from his shoulderblades
but i am iniquitous and villainous,
my vindictive heart
like a mouse trap
i represent the shame, the scandal,
the devious seduction
on which he shines his light 04/01/2007 Posted on 04/02/2007 Copyright © 2025 Emily Davidson

| Posted by Angela Nuzzo on 04/02/07 at 04:28 AM WOW! What a great visual. I love the idea of seeing where his angel's wings should be. Really good title, too. Nice job, Emily! :) |
