Around the Corner in My Dreams

by Thomas K. Hunt

Dreams around the corner
Mysteries of the mind
Fill my head in slumber
Take me to another time

In my private viewing
My trailers on the screen
Spliced into segments
Of scenes I’ve never seen

Dreams around the corner
When I go I know I’m gone
I know one living there now
I visit but not for long

You can always find me
I’m not that hard to find
If I’m not around the corner
I am in my mind

Dreams around the corner
On the other side of there
Fade into the distance
Get lost up in the air

Some have left photos
Filed behind the eyes
Forgotten hellos
Remembered good-byes

Dreams around the corner
I go to every night
Peeking down that tunnel
Down to another life

It’s only for a moment
That’s not the way it seems
It’s just another mystery
Around the corner in my dreams

A profound piece of writing that I'm sure we all can relate to in our own way. Brilliant!
