The possibility of pain from the promise of possibility

by Therese Elaine

You speak in tongues that shiver my soul, echoes of every battle of me versus the world become ripples on the pool of my seeming calm and its most pleasant the way you mar my surface making me unrecognizable from the woman I was before and while I’ll remain defiant in the face of such an emotional treason, I can’t deny I find your intrusion anything but intriguing and your notions intoxicating and the very fact of your existence seems like validation of my own, you slip in with the barest of ghostly ruminations, becoming something that I am unable to ignore, unwilling to forgo.

This familiarity quite

Undoes me.

Bemused I can only stagger into what could surely be a downfall, mine - or yours perhaps, the who is not important but the why continues to prod my senses, in a perfect world all that was pronounced would be, the yes in my caress answered in the utmost affirmative composure of your countenance, gazes locked as you enter what surely must be the deepest sanctions of me, ripe and fecund this midnight transgression which only serves as point/counterpoint to an undeniable attraction as the snakes beneath our skin twine together, nothing more dangerous than your words in the dark, all it takes to ignite me is a whisper of -

your

possibility.

Excellent writing! Engrossing, intelligent, compelling.

I sure hope to see the rest of them. Not a single dull moment to be found here, just a lot of interesting imagery and sharp language.

Incredible! I can't decide which one I like better, but you have definitely got a style here which is totally interesting. Again, the paradoxical images...yes!
