so there. by Kate Swearingeneach step has been a you-do-not-belong
a foul reminder that
i do not fit
i never have.
its not that i misunderstand what
you want from me
believe me, i understand.
its just that i refuse to
let you break me
i am too big for the box
you want to put me in
the bigger i get the smaller
you look
and I smile.
because, youre right.
I do not belong.
I do not fit.
and Ill try my best to
keep it that way.

"The bigger i get the smaller you look"
They unconsciously help us grow, which meanwhile causes them to SHRink. |
