IDentity

by A. Paige White

Shout these quiet whispers
love more and greater through
the sighing boughs of my mind
let your winds blow sweet harmony
in words of life true and kind

"Lift up your eyes" you whisper
Do not cast them down in shame
look up into my eyes
Love is whispering your name

Every fear that paralyzes
Every tear that tranquilizes
My hand will wipe away

Look up. Look up, I say.
My fear shall laugh
I'll shout and dance away

For love has come
He's carrying shame away.
Mountains that intimidated
Cry out, "Come up!"

Look up. Look up, I say.
The hind is loosed from all that binds
To dance upon the heights.

Author's Note: Adar enjoins a shout, "My fear shall laugh!"
And so it has.

Quite the reassuring poem Paige. Spiritually uplifting...high as the mountain you speak of.
