"Ghost of a Lover"

by Max Phineas

I wish I could say you deceived me
But I was just too blissfully blind
To see what was really there
which was
n o t h i n g
at all

HAUNTING, HONEST AND so realistic after the temporary "madness" of seeing more into someone, or a relationship, than could actually come into fruition. Been there, done that. Well said.

Cole, I'm always amazed at your wisdom. Some people 3 times your age are not as smart as this. What you've said here, is sad, but wise, abnd unfortunately, the honesty of such an admission comes too late for the pain to invade us.

Excellent impact and expression of sentiment for just a few lines. Adds a whole new meaning to the expression "love is blind."

A wistful gem shining with the essence of love projection.
