Destiny or Choices? by Alisa Jsthinking back now, I wonder
if given the same choices
would I find myself at this place of discovery
is it always a trade off of some type?
undaunted exuberance
for cautious contemplation
innocence for knowledge ...
these pathways
what part is destiny?
how much are consequences of incomplete decisions
seemed right at the time
ah! blissfulness of youth
boundless energy and optimism,
we forge on ahead
relentless,
in pursuit of our dreams
we'll get there
somehow
some way ...
distractions, diversions
how many can one take?
without altering the outcome
eventually ...
are we where we need to be?
where we belong,
how do we know without question
at what point
do we stop tempting fate?
before running out of options
for correction
wisdom or folly,
you decide ... 02/16/2007 Author's Note: just wondering....

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/19/07 at 05:52 PM Quite the thought provoking poem that aptly captures all sides and angles of the issue. It's OK to make plans as long as one remenbers that fate has a limitless supply of curve balls. One of your recent best IMO. Adds yo favourites. |
