I Named aTree by Meagan Green
I named a tree
whose eyes froze like winter's ice;
it's profound structure and
limb mojo attracted my life,
like desperate lovers all
flocking to the same
flower for sweet love nectar
and an apple or two.
I named a tree
whose heart froze like winter's ice;
I named a tree
who left me for a shrub.
