The Compromise

by Soulo Jacob Bourgeau

My father once told me
a happy wife’s a cinch
agree, obey and meet her
halfway plus an inch

love is wise forgiving
with luck even reciprocal
logic will only get you
a female stare so typical

Author's Note: Compromise: "When both parties are equally unhappy." I heard that quote recently, just had to add it..lol (04/19/07)

Solid advice, I suppose. Nicely written.

"logic will only get you a female stare so typical" and cryptic comments to chew on until you can think of a "safe" riposte. *giggling with Lori*

my dad and i had a discussion about logic last, in fact. seems it's just good fatherly advice all the way around...though i'd be careful pointing out "a female stare so typical"...that will get you in trouble, mister!

compromise will always win the blue ribbon. compromise in all things save one, which is to thyself be true.
