The Theology of Sickness by Aaron BlairTheologically speaking, I believe that god
is tucked inside my vertebrae;
that the act of creation will forcefully bend my spine,
and, therefore, my only aspiration in life is to be a divine pretzel.
Or not.
Who are we meant to blame when we break?
Because I refuse to be held responsible.
I want my body to sort itself out without consulting me.
This is not too much to ask. 02/01/2007 Posted on 02/07/2007 Copyright © 2024 Aaron Blair

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 02/07/07 at 03:58 PM Somehow very entertaining in light of a society that wants a pill for every ailment, a quick fix for self abuse that they've dumped upon themselves for years and years, and the inability to accept that our soft shelled bodies are not meant to outlive our egotistical minds. "Who are we to blame when we break?" Indeed.....we are a generation of pointing fingers.... well, I can see this little ditty of yours has set me off in many directions. I better go find my roadmap and get back on track here. Thank you. |
