Blessings

by Alisa Js

I count my blessings one by one
A treasure, each
Celebrations of love so pure,
Agape, indeed...

We take the bitter with the sweet
It makes the sweet so much sweeter
For without the bitter,
How could we appreciate the sweet?

Life splashes full to everyone
Journey to the heart and beyond,
Good days, bad days
Up and down,
Tell the truth from our soul ...

I am thankful
For every breath,
Every streak of rain,
As each
Reminds me so vividly
I am still alive,
Along with each tear
To let me know
I care ...

So many things to appreciate
The sun, the moon and stars
They remind me you are real
For you see them, too
And think of me,
I trust ...

I celebrate my soul friends
Kindred spirits we most certainly are,
Connected on that deeper realm
Beyond one's normal view...

Because of you
My life is graced with beauty, extraordinaire
My world has songs
Where once lived only tunes
and I am richer for having known you ...

To him who lives on the East Coast
Intuitive one, I am honored
Your insight brings light divine
When we connect, it is quite mysterious
Yet, I am forever thrilled ...

A rare gem from Italy
A sister I have always dreamed
She feels my pain
I feel her compassion
Ciao ...

They say up north, its cold and barren
Though this talent screams your name
Flawlessly you share your wisdom
I am forever indebted, just the same ...

Sisters of spirit on the U.S. mainland
and though on an island, I do live
I feel you here
Comforting me, hearts open wide ...

And to you, who lives down under
Spark of laughter full of smiles
Like a comet flaming through
You brighten the skies
No worries, mate ...

You are my treasures
Blessings I send,
May all your dreams come true
Stars bright in my hand ...

Alisa, this poem turned into a beautiful tapestry of fluent 'gives' and 'takes,' times shared and the obliging way we help one another through life ... so we can reach a goal-filled wisdom where "life is graced with beauty, extraordinaire ..." Wow, that was one long, run on sentence! I tired myself out! :) Lovely poem, my friend.

Ah, sweet Alisa, what a fine dedication to those who both inspire you, and that you inspire. Your writing exudes your love for those you care so much for (pardon the dangling preposition)! Ciao to both you and your Italian friend!

Sweet Sister, This is beautiful it truly reflects the soul and heart of you, as I know you and have known you. This is a thankfulness with gratitude, a moving ahead and reflective. It speaks so much... Much Aloha, in buckets and buckets of happiness, love, Rhonda
