Somewhere Under Red Sky (If Red Sky Is Under RCJ)

by Amy Wustrin

Somewhere under red sky
A place about as real as Neverland
A boy is searching, searching, searching.
He doesnt know what for
And he doesnt really care
As long as he finds a beer in the meantime
He can go another day without it

Is he lost?
He doesnt seem to think so
But ask anyone who's ever loved him
And you're sure to hear a different story

He doesnt know where he came from
Let alone where he's going
But one thing's for sure
Wherever he is right now
A 22 oz. bottle of bud ice got him there
And he wont be back for 90 days

Next time, just let me drive my own fucking car, stupid.

i felt like i was floating on a string, watching a familiar film about a loved one lost to alcohol. and then that last line reeled me back in with a jerk. i think you're famous for that, amy. good work
