...trying to see Kai...

by Charlie Morgan

sprawled out on the floor,
eye to eye i can hear
his thoughts in grunts and groans;
exclaiming one minute
proclaiming the next.

at 7mos. i remember my grandaddy
was a big row of grinning teeth that
had swallowed time's own wrinkles
and then hung them from the sky.
hope i'll be the same.

So creative from the perspective of the babe - "was a big row of grinning teeth that had swallowed time's own wrinkles and then hung them from the sky." Fantastic lines! +Fav. This just warms every bit of me.

Kristina beat me quoting her favorite lines. This so awesome. Going in my favorites too! Grandchildren have the greatest gift for making adults their mirrors!

Ah look in the future to see the past. Look in the past to see the future. Nice work Charlie.
