A Grandmothers Welcome
New little boy or girl, your arrival will make me, for the first time,
A grandmother. Only your health matters, not which sex you will be.
Nana will be my new name, thanks to you. May God grant you a life full of
Adventures, marvelous friends and grand love in your world.

My grandson said it when he was six months old. Of course, nobody but me was around to hear it, but he really did. I never tire of hearing him say it, not always the same, sometimes nanay, sometimes nanah, sometimes just plain old nana, but it's always the finest music these ears have ever heard. |
