Perspective by Ken HarnischIn the scowl mail she sends
There is a photograph of her
In the frothing surf, in
A blue bikini.
She is, she grouses,
Too wide in the hips;
Unduly thick in her upper
Thighs;
Her breasts pendulously
Large
I gaze at her image
And see only where my fingers
Can play, my lips bestow,
My touch enchant.
I see nooks and crannies
That need a fire too long
Denied, and a body
In the breaking surf
That I could drown in
For hours in the rising
Tide
It is, I tell her graciously,
A matter of perspective.
