Questions by Alisa Js
If the question to the answer lives on the inside
Then why do so many look out?
For those clues,
Do they hide?
Turn them to pearls and place on a chain
Of gold,
Careful not to pull them too tight
And pull apart the answer
So very near ...
Quiet your spirit and listen
Step away from the drone of yesterday's mantras,
Twisted they are in the sending
Tainted they are if not seen in the light,
The light of clarity and truth ...
Truth never changes
The truth will set you free
Free from deception and pain,
Remember the rainbow?
Such splendor!
So exquisite and real

Of that wonderful treasure,
Just waiting to be discovered ...
Metaphors of life
Lessons in love
Matters of heart and spirit,
Consistent progression follows the logic
Of order, of beauty, of peace ...
Reflections of a soul don't lie
A heart that beats truth doesn't stop to falter,
A heart that sneaks remains tangled in clouds
Mired in confusion and doubt,
Unable to bask in serenity
Never to see a way out,
Doomed to remain in the darkness
Looking for answers without ...

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 12/20/06 at 08:27 AM One of your strongest most profound poems yet Alisa. I agree with T., but found each stanza has something different to offer as part of the whole. Reminds me a little of the message in my own Questions & Answers in the library with the same title. Adds to favourites. |
