The Phone Call by Joan SerratelliI'm tired
so tired
but I cannot
allow myself to sleep
You see,
I'm waiting
for that phone
to ring
I might sleep
right through
the ringing
so here I sit
just waiting
for that phone
to ring
It'll be good news
I know it
but I have to wait
because it hasn't rung
in a while
so here I sit
just waiting
for the phone
to ring 12/03/2006 Author's Note: I'm waiting for a very important phone call that could come at anytime....day or night.
