There is a lot underneath this poem, the juxtaposition of noose and necktie is especially poignant. An unusual contrast and using them as the symbols of depression, giving up vs. a strong formality and going forward with life, and especially: what one wears and shows--is quite moving. Especially with the similar shapes of the two things. The almost contradictory statement of saving "my crying for the page" is moving as well-- as this is a public act as well--in the sharing, and yet feels most intimate in these words. Reminds me of Elizabethan songs (Dowland).
