Missed Destiny

by Alisa Js

Won't you let me do more than remember
Those awesome times seared in our souls,
You and me alone
With our bodies on fire, consumed
Needing more than we had a right to,
No other could ever come close, we both know
The passion and desire we fueled in each other
I need you to know I still go crazy
Everytime I think of your touch,
Alone here with these memories
What do I do?

They won't disappear, they don't simply turn off
and night after night they come, demanding
Release, but there's no you,
There's just me,
Fighting back those taunts of ecstasy's promise,
How they do challenge my sanity ...

Awash on these flames of forbidden desire
I want you only, with me
I want to travel together to those heights we both reached
and stay there for days like we used to,
I'm no good for another as they could never be you
Condemned now by missed destiny ...

Alisa, I was swept away by borderless passion as your words swung and swayed to a beat that we have all felt, but couldn't write right. You've done it, my dear. Welcome to Pathetic!
