I was unprepared for this
p   r   o   t   r   a   c   t   e   d
wait.  Having misplaced my apathy,
I am left susceptible to fanaticism,
subject to pursue my passions
with unbound enthusiasm,
great expenditures of energy
and time, unrelenting.

But my thoughts are all sterile,
innocuous in this traffic snarl,
uncomplicated by clouds of doubt.
