Orbital Rhythm

by Chris Sorrenti

Floor fans cast a shadow at night
illuminated by the glow of television

Slowly their blades turn in orbital rhythm
more hypnotizing than a pendulum’s swing

A most fascinating combination of moving illustrations and words. Catches ones attention!

simply brilliant, even without the illustrations! great title, fabulous sound, a mantra for the passing hours. would be a great POTD -- put THIS on the front page, gavin!!... makes me think of a run-down hotel room on a hot summer night. pretty cool when such a short poem can create such clear visuals in the reader's mind....i watched the pendulum for a few seconds and i was hypnotized, made me think of "welcome to the machine!" ;)..........zzzzzzz

I like this clockwork, it's so like life itself. Enjoyed this. Thanks.

Effective enough in a multimedia sort of way that I can even hear the hum of the motor and the rush of the air in the TV-illuminated room. ;) Very nifty way of putting this one together!
