Our Handshake

by Deanna M Gritsonis

I smacked you because I couldn’t hit myself.

I cried into your arms

For the first time unafraid of you seeing me weak

You held me

We became deeper

In the end you stripped me down

licked the fear away

and made love to me

Making up

Clearing the mess in my head

Fucking you brought clarity

Every move had healing powers

Every moan enlightenment

Every taste happiness

It was our consummation that sealed us

Strong progression from the touch of hand--(I like the simple clarity of explanation in the first line) to the sealing of the pact. I like the "seal" at the end-- a proper signing--as well as the stickiness implied. Fine description of the "healing" process and moments ("moans") of enlightenment.

I'll buy that reality. Well spoken.
