Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 11/02/06 at 04:41 AM i love the combining of words into one, something i like to do on occasion myself, so i really dig it here in the title. the visual of the point of origin for glass cracks, whoa, i can SEE it, and i feel futility, resignation, endless purgatory. a dark and painful look at self-doubt. an earthquake. i can see and feel the faultlines. Posted by Sarah Graves on 11/02/06 at 05:20 AM This really says it all about the gradual destruction about one's self in body and spirit. A realistic approach to what will happen to all of us eventually. |

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 11/02/06 at 04:03 PM Really excellent wording here - a very vivid picture emerges and yet I feel a whole different result. This speaks to me of our individual impact on life around us - from the moment we touch the glass everything we do, every word we speak ripples/fractures out forever. This is such an eloquent poem! Thank you! |

Posted by Katerina T Nix on 05/06/07 at 01:08 AM I ABSOLUTELY LOVE POEMS THAT MAKE ME QUESTION TIME!! This is probably the best poem I have read in a long while. The glass is, and we are, continually breaking. Brilliant read, Max! I love it! Well done and thank you for sharing this piece. -Kat :) |
