Chance Meeting by William SimpsonChance Meeting
Huge raven flocked in ebony
lands hard on rock
midst waves of red;
Sees nothing of the
blueberry:
now looks to me,
instead.
Chance meeting here of bird, and man;
along Spring lanes
in shades of gray;
The raven takes his flight
again;
and I just walk
away.

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 10/28/06 at 12:22 PM this poem not by chance but by artful design much merits my attention and not benign, and it gets it in spades dark as that raven. and after reading this gem, it is difficult for this man, to simply walk away. |
