and the scars you tried to inflict
upon what you thought was delicate skin
never grew, never split, never spilt
a damn drop.

smokey silhouettes on home made paper
misrepresenting everything about you
a beauty hiding grotesque dreams
spilling from your pores into mine.
rejected... disgusted.
the only thing you ever got from me,
an orgasm and an empty letter.
exactly what you deserved.
wax evaporates... like everything else

no ripples ever felt
from your final breath with me.
i will be fresh again. you
forgotten. you alone. you festering beast...

again finally, as you become
part of the clouds, but

| Posted by Michelle Angelini on 10/29/06 at 02:15 AM Morgan, I love this! There is such an attempt in here by the narrator to appear nonchalant, but it's actually brimming with pain and emotion. Even the ending, which appears casual, is only an attempt to hide the pain.
