Don't Ask Me What I Think by Joan SerratelliDon't ask me
what I think
because I know
that you don't care
You do what you
when you want
with who you want
and it's not me
So don't ask me
because I don't care
because you don't
care about me
I've spent too many years
of my life caring
what you think of me
that's over now
I took a vow
to be who I
want to be
and I intend
to stick to that
I will do
what I want
and say
what I want
because in the end
the only thing
that really matters
is what I think of me

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 10/09/06 at 01:57 AM A fine realization that you must take care of yourself and care for yourself first. I would be interested to know what might happen in this other person's mind when you become more sure of your position, not having to have that person's approval. You go, girl!!! |
