School Of Society

by Maria Terezia Ferencz

I am weary of societies lies
that all that is worth
is caught in the eyes
I grow tired of societies thought
we only should ponder
the reality we are taught
I grow angry at societies way
that a man is best viewed
through what he can pay
I am saddened by society
I weep every day
human life's estimated worth
dependant on policy or co-pay
I am tired of teachings
that darken my day
I am dropping out
from this school of society
I will learn my own way
