So Cliche by Maria Terezia Ferenczwhen the milk of human kindness
has dried
and starts to flake
when the smallest straw
has fallen
and your back is sure to break
when every star that's shining
burns low
and starts to
fade
when life is just beginning
to stale
and becomes
so cliche
close your eyes
I will be here
around the corner
I am willing
ready able
I can wait
when you least expect it
I'll be the abby normal
the un-cliche
I'll create
when you need it most
it is your breath
I will take
when it all becomes
to common
your earth
I will shake
when you least expect it
I am here
I will wait 10/06/2006
Author's Note: I know I am a walking talking cliche....C'est la vie

| Posted by Rusty C Arquette on 10/06/06 at 12:00 PM Ahhh, but a very poetic cliche' Maria! I love the 'abby normal' reference (chuckle)! Well written! - RCat |
| Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 10/06/06 at 12:51 PM I like the ominous tone that radiates throughout this poem, which makes for interesting reading, as the subject isn't one we would usually see that way. Cool use of rhyming too. |
