Burning Montana by Traci MabatsI have lived here
under a red sun
breathing in air
to corrupt my lungs
Dry eyes
through a haze of smoke
lack of ambition
and parched throats
now in dire need
of a change in weather
We await a good November rain 09/10/2006 Posted on 09/10/2006 Copyright © 2024 Traci Mabats

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 09/11/06 at 02:48 AM Excellent image of what we in the West are going through right now. We finally have clear air today after a week of smoke. School kids were not allowed our at recess - outdoor sports were cancelled. We were in Montana in July and it was gorgeous. I hate to think of any of it burning. |
