Easy To Forget

by Sahar Rahim

It's easy to neglect those we care for the most.
Easy to forget our actions can hurt those we keep close.
Easy to take for granted the one's who are always there,
Because we assume they aren't going anywhere.
But if you're not careful, you'll push them away.
If you're not careful...they won't stay.

...sahar, what delightfully posed concepts...and it is so true, with closeness, sometimes comes staleness, i like/love your poem, while descriptive of the human condition, it is alerting to the daily life of appreciation of our close family, which alas sometimes we put on a shelf of forgotten-memories...peace, chaz

A very simple truth you put forward here. Well done and keep writing. -Kat :)
