my karma totals to: 666 by Vere MantratriadI have a tendency to
tell perfect truths
with my hands aligned
behind my back, fingers
and stars fatally crossed
I suffer a constant fever
sometimes self-inflicted,
but other times, from black
cat scratches emblazoned
on wrist and mind and heart
I have taken things with a
grain of salt over the wrong
shoulder, found myself
coin face down and stepped
on cracks in hearts and backs
I get knocked over on wood
while kissing crows that
whisper my name to broken
mirrors, 13 times, only on
fridays.
08/14/2006 Author's Note: my available karma points on the site were 666. seriously.

Just so you know I kiss crows every chance I get, and I have thrown enough salt to make a sea....great great poem here, into favorites again. |
Posted by Leslie Ann Eisenberg on 08/16/06 at 01:47 PM what great exercise, to write a poem about your karma points! on the surface, amusing, but dig a little and it's a soul cutting. superstitions so cleverly laid out -- coin face down and stepped
on cracks in hearts and backs...kissing crows...this comes from an old place, yet is so fresh. a very enjoyable read! PK |

Posted by Dave Fitzgerald on 08/16/06 at 11:49 PM Don't worry, a bird crapped on my shoulder and I picked up a penny today. I was a penny and pidgeon poop richer all day! Great write ;o) |
