we've met by Charlie Morganwe all meet in our dreams,
move along the seabed of our history
bringing with us all our past.
daily it comes to make our shell,
a lens to anothersÂ’ way of seeing us.
and the louder dreamer
canÂ’t be awakened without injury.
we live our leagacy
dressed as an albatross
and just as heavy with disdain.

| Posted by Lacy D Phillips on 07/28/06 at 07:26 PM "the seabed of our history" is such a great line! And "bringing with us all our past" gives me the image of a wake stretching out behind a boat. |

Which explains why I would rather be a hermit crab. |
